I was a Wellington rugby representative in 1987 and 1989 and I continue to support the game at a local level and nationally. I sponsor a local age grade team every year and I have acted as a Citing Commissioner for the NZ Rugby Union.

I support a Hutt Valley Women's Refuge and I run a free family law clinic at Wainuiomata Community Centre every Wednesday for 1 hour from 12 noon.
