Splitting up raises a lot of issues including relationship property and how the children will be cared for.
A settlement agreement on relationship property needs to have a lawyer for each party to be enforceable. You may want to have an agreement on relationship property put in place before you get together on a longer term basis. A family trust arrangement can often help here.
It is always best if you can reach agreement on how the children are to be cared for without getting lawyers involved. But if you can't agree or if you are concerned about the care arrangements I can help with the legal process.
